Given the present state of the country (to say nothing of the weather), I think we can safely conclude that supporting ‘Israel’ has not resulted in God blessing us — perhaps now would be a good time to try the opposite.

The authors of the egregious passages in the ‘Annotated’ ‘Large Catechism’ — and particularly those passages dealing with sexual sins — did not have hypothetical men in mind when they were writing.
