To a degree, Mormonism owes its rise to American revivalist evangelicalism; the focus on a ‘conversion experience’ is analogous to the Mormon ‘burning in the bosom’.

Ultimately, as Christians, we need not take secular (Atheist) thought seriously, because it deliberately ignores the best available sources.

(n.b., taking the consequences of a thing seriously ≠ taking the thing itself seriously.)

Those with virtue feel no need to signal it.

Only when the last Freudian is burned atop the works of Freud, the last Marxist atop the works of Marx, and the last Leftist atop the works of the Frankfurt School will the West again be free.
