There are some things that are open to argument and other things that are not — this one is not. Do not debate heretics on this point — condemn them.

If we claim (1) Mary is not the mother of God, then it is necessarily the case that (2) Jesus Christ is not God or (3) Mary is not the mother of Jesus Christ.

This, in either case, is obviously rank heresy.

That we are still having to deal with heretics who oppose this simple truth of the Christian faith is proof that we need more Christian princes with bloody swords.

If you are on a sinking ship, then the number of lifeboats is a very real concern, unless there is someone blocking access to the lifeboats — then he becomes the immediate concern.
